  • Red Mars – Kim Stanley Robinson – The Mars trilogy, Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars, is a tale of the first settlers on Mars.
  • Rainbows End is a singular book and universe, and it plays with many current technologies and ideas we are working with today. Both of those won many awards and should be read.
  • Rainbows End – Vernor Vinge – He wrote two other books, Fire upon the Deep and A Deepness in the Sky in the same universe.
  • Hyperion – Dan Simmons – Somewhat similar to The Canterbury Tales in its structure, I would love to type so much about this book or the trilogy.
  • Both are homages to original works of similar titles, apropos. Her other book, Everything but the Dog is fun-tastic. A time traveler goes back to one of England’s plagues.
  • Doomsday Book – I suggest this piece for how powerful, loving, and out of the ordinary it is.
  • I am hyper-sensitive to spoilers as well as reviews tainting the reading experience.) It is also purposefully sparce on summaries and descriptions. You will notice it heavy on character stories, and it is build for someone who has a few years under their belt. (Here is the list with only the general text remaining.
