With a marvelous apartment at her fingertips and an elegant housekeeper to meet her every need, a finished book-and her dream of finally taking her career over the top-is surely within her grasp. Forty-eight years old and newly single (again ), she ventures to Paris in a last-ditch effort to finish her manuscript. Realistic and romantic, this was the perfect feel-good romance.A sparkling romantic comedy starring a bestselling author who goes to Paris to overcome writer's block and rediscovers family, independence, and love along the way.

The culture! The fashion! The food! Reinvigorated, Maggie is writing again, but is her muse her ex-husband, currently in Paris to visit their daughter and eager to reconnect with Maggie? Is it Max, the charming, eternal bachelor and native Parisian, son of the housekeeper Solange? Or is it Maggie herself, coming into her own power as a writer and a woman? Paris is beautiful, fulfilling every one of Maggie’s fantasies. Just maybe Paris will give her the inspiration she needs to overcome her writer’s block and as a bonus, Maggie can visit her daughter Nicole, who is currently living there.

Her agent, anxious to help, invites Maggie to tag along with him on his trip to Paris. Maggie is a writer and struggling under the pressure from her publisher and her adoring fans to complete the second book in her planned trilogy by the deadline. Maggie Finds Her Muse was a charming romance about finding love at a later date than expected and inspiration in the City of Lights. The steamy scenes are minimal, but I would say it's still firmly in the adult fiction and romance category, with some mature themes. They all had so much depth, the book really wasn't just about Maggie's romance. The characterization for Maggie, Max, Alan and Nicole were all so well done. Ernst is simply magical, in a way that's realistic and not so bubbly that it's cheesy or over the top. Which is really quite a shame because we're on lockdown here in Canada and no one is allowed to travel anymore. I've never been to Paris, nor have I felt a strong desire to go to France, but this book has made me want to go! And badly. It's delightful, entertaining and the perfect vacation/beach read, especially if you're going to Paris! I am so pleased that I was given a chance to review this prior to release because it's a beautifully written story about finding oneself, romance, and family.
